-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Review of minutes for 09 May 2006:

- Approved.

Announcements - EIA Call for Patent Disclosure:

- No company declared a patent.

AR Review:

- Mike rewrite parser bug and submit ASAP.
Done, discussed at IBIS open forum.
Probably will not make it into 4.2 revision.
Mike has source code, could potentially fix the bug.

- Roy complete review of IQ checks
  Done.

- Mike update spreadsheet and resend
Not sent to ibis-quality list. Shared during meeting.

- Mike and Eckhard test MeetingPlace
  Done

Opens for new items:

- Roy Leventhal has sent an updated Checklist organization document
to the list. We decided to discuss it at a future meeting when
  Roy could be present.

Review of Category column for iq_categorized_23may2006b.xls:

- File sent privately to meeting participants, will be sent to list.

- Reviewed IQ 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 2.5 2.6 2.7 2.8 5.1 5.10 5.11 5.2 5.3 5.4

- Categories for IQ checks:
  - IQ checks that might reasonably be inferred from a reading of the
IBIS specification are categorized as "IBIS REQUIRED"
  - IQ checks already caught by ibischk are categorized as "IBISCHK".
    - We should not have IQ checks already caught by ibischk.
    - IQ 2.4 and 5.3 changed to IBISCHK category for now.
    - May be deleted later.
  - IQ checks for non-required IBIS keywords such as [Diff Pair]
could be categorized as "IBIS CONDITIONAL".
  - IQ checks that are above and beyond the IBIS spec are "IQ REQUIRED".
    - Example: IQ 2.3 "Do not use [Comment Char]"
  - IQ checks that are suggested but not required are "IQ OPTIONAL".
    - Only example: IQ 3.2.4 "[Pin] RLC complete"

- Discussion of IQ 5.2 "C_comp checked in both input and output mode"
  - C_comp can be different in buffer high, low, and disabled modes.
  - IBIS allows for only one value.
  - It is more important for C_comp to be correct in disabled mode,
since the capacitance has a relatively larger effect.
    - When the buffer is enabled, low transistor impedance dominates.
  - Some people adjust C_comp to achieve optimal correlation
in both output and input modes. This should be documented.

AR: Eckhard review IQ 5.2

- Discussion of IQ 5.4 "Sufficient points in waveform table"
  - Need to check IBIS spec for guidance.

AR: Mike review IQ 5.4
